- The early starters take Divs A & B - Despite the unnecessary holiday rates and many locals declining to play, there was still an excellent field of 39 Outbackers partaking on the A & B nine from the blues. The numbers were boosted by a large Australian contingent warming up for their annual TIAC cup which starts next week and judging by the scores, many of them have got a considerable amount of warming still to do! A big welcome to all you guys and particularly those of you who are joining us in Chiang Mai. Welcome back also to Paul Sibley and Ian Humphrey. Early starter Bob Finley took Div A with a fine 38pts from one under par gross man, Simon Spaulding on 37 and Owen Lloyd with the same score. Div B was also won by one of the early starters, El Suggs on 36 and Div C went to one of the TIAC boys, Ken Holman, with a mediocre 33pts. There were just three '2's from Bob Finley & Paul Sibley had two. Div A [0 - 13]
