It was moving day today when the Outback Golf Bar moved to its new location just 400 yards down the road.

With Capt Bob and General Jack busy with the move it was left to Corporal Cannon, aka Nigel to be the organiser for the day. There were 27 Outbackers who said their ‘Goodbyes’ to the old bar and made the 50 minute journey to the delightful Royal Lakeside where the course was not busy and in it's usual pristine condition. The booking-in was friendly and efficient with some groups getting away slightly before our allotted tee time.

Four hours was the ‘norm’ and the cards were collected and results calculated in the splendour of the clubhouse.

There were 2 divisions today each with four places plus '2’s.

Division ‘A’ [0 - 18]

All four on the podium beat their handicap with ‘that man again’, Chris Dopp (18) coming in with 41 pts. Scott Clark and Jim Peachey both scored an excellent 39pts with Scott coming in second on count back. Final place went ‘Happy Suzi’ (John’s back!) Lawton (17) with 37 pts.

Division ‘B’ [19+]

The 'just arrived geordie’, Victor Barton (19) filled the top spot with 38 pts, finding his form early for the upcoming Chiang Mai trip, closely followed by Raleigh Gosney (19) with 37. John Paul Michiels (20) claimed third place with 35 and the final place went to ‘Jersey’s’ Brian Maddox (19) with 33.

There were three '2’s today from Rosco and Raleigh had two.

It was then back to the new bar to be welcomed by Bob and Jack and the staff together with a number of friends who had dropped in to say – Good Luck and to wish the Outback continued success.
