It was a year ago to the day at Green Valley, when Paul Quodomine beside writing his name on his scorecard, wrote as the event – 'weekly self flagellation'. Those three words probably best describe what most of the Outbackers go through each week at Khao Kheow, yet we all come back for more.

A full house of 12 groups [46 Outbackers] tried their hand today on the toughest two nines, C & A, and as many as eight of them failed to make it past 20 points. Only one scored more than 30pts in Div B, whilst the three podium finishers in Div C; 1^st - Bob Noble [35pts], 2^nd – John Cogan [34pts] and 3^rd – Kev Hamilton [32pts], were the only players in that division [Div C] to score more than 30.

Div A fared a little better with Capt' Bob [34pts] coming out on top on countback from Raji and Mitch Black back in third, on 33. Div D was won by the only lady in the field, Sakorn, playing two shots out of her handicap [off 24] and making an excellent 37pts from the top scoring man of the day, Bruce McAdam with 36.

Finally, a big welcome to a bunch of Aussie boys who joined us today, Kim Stoke, Neil Herd and Mike Quill to name but a few and farewell to Colin Bavington, who leaves for the Isle of Wight tomorrow but assures us he will be back in June.

There were only four '2's from Capt' Bob, Kev Hamilton, Mitch Black & Colin Oliver.
